Pros and cons of Christmas season
Ok friends, we are DONE! Though Christmas season is my favorite of the year, I just remembered that Christmas holidays are the most exhausting! 🙂 Last year D. and I spent Christmas in LA on our own, and we had totally forgot how tiring it is to go from one place to the other in time to see everyone. We love our families and we want to have some time with both. The tiny problem is that my family lives in Turin (northwest) and his near Venice (northeast).
We usually move by car, so we
- drove from Lion to my in laws’
- drove from my in laws’ to my parents’
- drove from my parents’ to the mountains
Total kilometers = 1,134!!!!!
In between we saw our families, ate a lot of – very good and home made – Italian food and entertained our beautiful – and noisy – nieces and nephews!
We are so grateful to have all these beautiful moments and to build many good memories, but we are also happy to have a few more days left for the two of us. We are in the mountains at the moment, spending some time reading, breathing good air and preparing tasty meals for one another. Have some time to set back, relax and think is a real privilege, we’re trying to make the most out of it.
