Gourmet list… Miznon, Paris 4e arrondissement.
If two weeks ago somebody told me that cauliflower would have become one of my favorite dishes, I would have laughed uncontrollably.
And yet, Miznon – a Mediterranean restaurant at the heart of Paris Marais district – made it happen.
Tender inside and crunchy outside, Miznon’s cauliflower (a whole cauliflower served on a wooden cutting board) is firstly steamed then baked in the oven after having been ‘massaged’ with oil and salt grains… It would make re-evaluate all the vegetables-hating thing to the worst veggie hater. The ambiance is pretty rustic, you order at the counter and grab a table wherever you find one (better get there before 7.30, after the place gets really crowded), and if you get lucky you can grab a seat at the counter in front of the open kitchen (to have a good look to the cooks preparing other amazing dishes as the chicken salad, the boeuf bourguignon or the crunchy Falafels).
Prices are absolutely reasonable, around 20€/person for an entree and a main course.
